Greensusmater recognizes that Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and similar systems) are increasingly used in research and scientific writing. These tools may support productivity and communication, but their use must be transparent, responsible, and consistent with research integrity and publication ethics.

1. General Principles

  • Authors, reviewers, and editors remain fully responsible for all content submitted to Greensusmater, including any text, data, images, or analysis generated with GenAI.

  • GenAI tools cannot be listed as authors and cannot take responsibility for the work.

  • Users must ensure that any GenAI-assisted content is accurate, original, and free from plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or breaches of confidentiality.

2. Use of GenAI by Authors

Authors may use GenAI tools in limited and transparent ways, for example:

  • Language editing (grammar, spelling, clarity, and style).

  • Drafting or rephrasing non-technical text (e.g., cover letters, general background).

  • Idea exploration and brainstorming, followed by critical human evaluation.

Authors must not use GenAI to:

  • Fabricate or manipulate data, results, figures, or references.

  • Generate whole manuscripts or substantial scientific sections without rigorous human oversight and validation.

  • Reproduce copyrighted or confidential material obtained from other sources.

If GenAI tools are used in preparing a manuscript, authors should explicitly disclose this in the manuscript, for example in the Acknowledgments or a dedicated note, such as:

“Language editing of this manuscript was assisted by ChatGPT (OpenAI). The authors reviewed, verified, and take full responsibility for all content.”

3. Use of GenAI by Reviewers and Editors

  • Reviewers and editors must not upload unpublished manuscripts or any confidential material into GenAI tools that may store, learn from, or reuse the content.

  • Peer review reports and editorial decisions must be based on human scholarly judgment, even if GenAI is used to assist with wording or structure.

  • The confidentiality of all submissions to Greensusmater must be strictly maintained.

4. Academic Integrity and Misconduct

  • Undisclosed or inappropriate use of GenAI—such as AI-generated plagiarism, data fabrication, manipulated images, or misleading content—may be treated as academic or research misconduct.

  • Greensusmater reserves the right to request clarification from authors, perform additional checks, and take appropriate actions (including rejection, correction, or retraction, and notification of relevant institutions) if GenAI misuse is suspected.

5. Policy Updates

As GenAI technologies and global best practices continue to evolve, Greensusmater may revise this statement periodically. Any updates will be published on the journal’s website.
