Conference Partnerships
Conference Partnerships
GSMS Publications offers conference organizers a professional, open-access publishing solution for selected conference papers and proceedings. We help transform your best conference contributions into peer-reviewed, permanently citable articles — indexed, discoverable, and freely accessible worldwide.
Whether you are organizing a large international conference or a focused regional symposium, we provide flexible publishing arrangements with no cost to organizers or authors during our APC waiver period.
Why Publish With Us?
- Zero cost — No publication fees for authors or organizers during the APC waiver period (first 3 volumes per journal)
- Permanent DOIs — Every published paper receives a unique DOI registered with Crossref
- Peer-reviewed quality — All papers undergo rigorous single-blind peer review, ensuring scholarly credibility beyond a conference abstract
- Global discoverability — Published articles are indexed in Google Scholar, Dimensions, and other academic databases
- Open access — Immediate, unrestricted access under CC-BY 4.0 license
- Niche alignment — We specialize in green technology, sustainable materials, and environmental sciences
Publishing Models
Special Issue
Selected papers from your conference are published as a dedicated special issue within an existing GSMS journal. This is the most common and straightforward model.
What's included:
- Dedicated special issue page with your conference name, logo, and description
- Guest editor appointed by the conference organizing committee
- Full peer review coordinated by the GSMS editorial team
- Professional production — copyediting, typesetting, PDF and HTML publication
- DOI registration and indexing for every accepted paper
- Published within 8–12 weeks after final manuscript submission
Thematic Collection
For smaller conferences or workshops, selected papers are grouped as a thematic collection within a regular journal issue rather than a standalone special issue.
Best suited for:
- Workshops and symposia with fewer than 10 publishable papers
- Conference sessions or tracks within a larger event
- Focused research meetings on a specific topic
Recurring Partnership
For annual or recurring conferences, we establish an ongoing publishing agreement. Each edition of your conference has a guaranteed publication outlet with streamlined processes.
Advantages:
- Pre-arranged timeline aligned with your conference calendar
- Consistent branding and formatting across editions
- Simplified coordination — no need to renegotiate each year
- Growing archive of conference publications under one journal
How It Works
Step 1 — Contact Us
Reach out to partnerships@greensus.org with details about your conference: name, dates, expected number of papers, and the subject area.
Step 2 — Agree on Scope
We discuss the publishing model (special issue or thematic collection), timeline, guest editor, and submission process. A brief partnership agreement is signed.
Step 3 — Call for Papers
After the conference, a call for extended papers is issued to presenters. Authors submit through the OJS platform, clearly identifying the conference affiliation.
Step 4 — Peer Review & Production
Submitted papers go through standard single-blind peer review. Accepted papers are copyedited, typeset, and published with DOIs.
Step 5 — Publication
The special issue or thematic collection is published online with open access, fully indexed and discoverable.

Eligibility
We welcome publishing partnerships with:
- International and national conferences — in sustainable materials, green chemistry, environmental engineering, and related fields
- Academic symposia and workshops — organized by universities, research institutes, or professional societies
- Interdisciplinary events — covering cross-cutting themes such as circular economy, clean energy, water treatment, or sustainable development
The conference topic must fall within the scope of at least one GSMS journal. If you are unsure, contact us and we will help determine the best fit.
FAQ
Is there a minimum number of papers required?
For a special issue, we recommend at least 5–8 publishable papers. For smaller outputs, a thematic collection within a regular issue is a better fit.
Do conference papers go through peer review?
Yes. All submitted papers undergo the same single-blind peer review process as regular journal submissions. Conference affiliation does not guarantee acceptance.
Can authors submit extended versions of their conference papers?
Yes. We encourage authors to submit substantially extended and revised versions of their conference presentations. The extended paper must contain at least 50% new content compared to the original conference abstract or short paper.
How long does the process take?
From the submission deadline to final publication, the typical timeline is 8–12 weeks, depending on the number of submissions and the peer review process.
Can we partner for recurring annual conferences?
Absolutely. We offer recurring partnership agreements with streamlined processes for annual or biennial events.
